Rethinking assessment in a participatory digital world - Assessment 2.0

Transforming Assessment is an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Fellowship specifically looking at the use of e-assessment within online learning environments, particularly those using one or more Web 2.0 or virtual world technologies.

Call for Webinar Presenters for 2012

e-Learning and e-Assessment experts, practitioners and experimenters, we want you!
If you have a relevant innovation, case study and in particular a practical example to share we would welcome your participation in the series as a presenter.
All sessions are free, open to the public and use our virtual classroom system.

Transforming Assessment in Second Life...

We have developed an island in Second Life to explore e-assessment in virtual worlds. Come and view the examples under development by joining our Second Life group. To do so you will need to email your real name and Second Life avatar name to one of the Transforming Assessment admin team and we will give your Second Life avatar access. Things to do on our site...

  • Participate in events: keep up to date on our Web seminars and Face to face Workshops.
  • View e-Assessment Exemplars: explore the assessment examples utilising a range of web 2.0 and virtual world technologies. You will also find a collection of presentations and other documents relating to e-assessment. An Endnote database file containing a citations relating to e-assessment is also available to download.
  • Explore technologies: see some of the tools and systems that are behind many of the web 2.0 learning environments currently being developed such as Moodle, Mahara, Media Wiki, iPeer, SBLi, WordPress, OpenSim and Second Life.
  • Join social media: join our groups on Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and YouTube. Read news related to e-assessment. See some examples integrating e-assessments into social media such as blogs, wiki and social networking systems.
  • Read about the fellowship: read about the background and view project management documentation.
  • Contact us: How to contact us to participate, provide further examples, find out where we are located and details of the project team members. Let us know how you would like to be involved and register for updates.
